ParentPay Limited, the UK’s leading provider of payment solutions to schools and parents, and BBC Children in Need, the BBC’s UK corporate charity, have announced a partnership for the charity’s 2019 Appeal
The new partnership aims to make it easier for thousands of schools and millions of UK families to raise money for BBC Children in Need through ParentPay, providing a secure and convenient alternative to managing large volumes of cash donations.
Claire Hoyle, BBC Children in Need’s commercial director, commented: “We want to make it as easy as possible for schools and parents to get involved in BBC Children in Need, so it was key for us that parents can make donations easily and safely through ParentPay.
“Schools can then concentrate on having a great time fundraising, not counting cash donations and worrying about how to get it all banked safely.”
It is predicted that the partnership will result in more school fundraising events helping to raise more money to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people across the UK.
Clint Wilson, ParentPay CEO, said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to directly support BBC Children in Need, a charity which is close to the hearts of our staff, customers and users alike.
“Leveraging our extensive network of school and parent users to help one of the UK’s leading charities increase donations that directly support the children and young people most in need within our communities makes perfect sense. Being able to do that while also making life easier for schools and parents alike, is especially rewarding for our team.”
