As Data Privacy Week (January 24–28) prepares to shine a spotlight on the importance of safeguarding digital information, schools are being encouraged to reflect on the challenges and opportunities in managing their data.
In the education sector, where the security and compliance of sensitive information are paramount, school business leaders face unique hurdles – particularly when managing multiple disconnected systems that struggle to meet GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
To address these issues, Education Executive has partnered with SIMS on an ambitious project to explore the most pressing challenges and opportunities in data management for schools.
Earlier this month, our initiative was launched with the goal of gathering firsthand experiences from school business leaders across the UK. Your input will form the foundation of a comprehensive report designed to represent the realities faced by schools when dealing with data security, compliance and management.
As Data Privacy Week emphasises, ensuring robust data protection isn’t just about adhering to regulations – it’s about fostering trust within the school community.
