Has work got you stressed? Would you much rather be sipping on a glass of Prosecco in the sunshine? Well, we may just have found a solution to part of the problem: Prosecco-flavoured nail polish…
Prosecco has soared in popularity in recent years, comfortably overtaking Cava as the reasonably-priced Champagne alternative of choice for British drinkers, The Telegraph reports.
And now Prosecco-lovers can enjoy the taste of their favourite tipple – in a nail polish.
The unlikely-sounding product is the work of Groupon, who say: “To help celebrate Mother’s Day we’ve created the world’s first edible Prosecco flavoured nail polish, ‘Prosecco Polish’.
“Combining our love for manicures and Prosecco, this nail varnish is made with real Prosecco and smells and tastes just like the real thing.
“With a delicate gold lustre, this lick-able polish looks exquisite, giving you the fun of the flavour without a sore head the next day.”
Unfortunately it’s not available in the shops yet – but if you’d like to get your hands on a bottle, you can enter a prize draw to win some on the Groupon website.
Groupon’s Prosecco Polish is arguably more enticing than the edible nail polish offered last year by KFC. The fast food chain launched two varieties of ‘lickable’ nail varnishes, Original and Hot & Spicy.
The Original was a glittery beige (supposedly the colour of the fried chicken skin) and Hot & Spicy a muddy shade of Tabasco.
