The Education Committee has published 60 pieces of written evidence submitted to it by influential organisations to help inform its inquiry into persistent absence and support for disadvantaged pupils
Among the organisations submitting evidence were trades unions and professional bodies such as the National Education Union (NEU), NASUWT and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
The cross-party Committee also received submissions from charities including The Children’s Society, Barnardo’s, Mind, the National Autistic Society, Square Peg and Agenda.
Academic and policy organisations like the Nuffield Foundation, Education Endowment Fund, and The National Foundation for Educational Research also provided evidence.
A full list of the submissions can be downloaded from the Committee’s website.
The submissions were made in response to the call for evidence and terms of reference, which were both published when MPs launched the inquiry.
The Committee will draw on this evidence in its next oral evidence session on Tuesday 16 May.
