Onwards to Outstanding: PMA ‘brings teaching to life’ according to Ofsted report

THE PMA – a national independent learning provider – is delighted to announce it has received a ‘Good’ across every aspect of its recent Ofsted education inspection

The Ofsted report states: “Leaders have a sound rationale for how to meet the skills requirements of the employers they serve. They provide an ambitious curriculum that is aligned to sustainable career pathways for the healthcare sector’s non-clinical workforce.

“Tutors effectively plan and coordinate on and off-the-job training with apprentices managers. Managers routinely plan opportunities for apprentices to practise and hone their skills at work.

“This extends apprentices’ knowledge beyond the minimum requirements of the apprenticeship standard and meets the exacting requirements of their employers’ businesses.”

PMA director Austin Ambrose said: “There are so many strengths in the report, and it reflects the hard work and efforts of the whole team. “It’s always been clear for me to see that we have a hardworking and passionate team who have worked tirelessly to ensure our learners get the most out of their courses and I’m so pleased the inspectors recognised this too.”

Sarah Burrows, the PMA’s head of education, added: “I’m extremely proud of this Good rating, which is an incredible achievement considering the pressures faced over the last two years. We have such an amazing team here that have all worked so hard.

“However, our work does not stop here – our aim now is ‘onwards to outstanding’ and we are very confident we will get there!”
