The treasurer of a primary school near Cirencester has admitted a £4,800 fraud and received a suspended jail sentence, Gloucestershire Live reports.
Lauren Hind, 30, of Woodmancote, Cirencester pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to cheating North Cerney Primary School while treasurer there between June 18, 2015 and January 14 last year by cashing cheques to a total value of £4,800.
Cheltenham magistrates imposed a 24-week prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered Hind to pay prosecution costs of £85.
