Starting a new job can be a nerve-wracking experience, and this feeling is amplified for school business professionals (SBPs).
In the realm of SBPs, taking on multiple roles and responsibilities can be overwhelming. However, it’s essential to adopt a 360-degree view of your situation to regain self-confidence.
Remember the skills and experiences that got you the job in the first place. Avoid overburdening yourself with high expectations and replace negative thoughts with “yet” to give yourself time to learn and grow.
Recognize that your journey in your new role is a marathon, not a sprint. Collaborate with colleagues, be kind to yourself, and remember your passion and motivation for taking on the job. New job anxiety is temporary, and you will adapt over time.
