Parents, pupils and teachers protest testing of four-year-olds

Yesterday, Parliament Square was descended on by adults and children alike to protest the testing of children as soon as they begin primary school – and the BBC published a video discussing the topic with protesters

As part of an ongoing debate over SATs and exams for very young children, parents, pupils and teachers protested the testing of four-year-olds in English schools yesterday.

Reporter, John Owen, spoke to some campaigners in Parliament Square before a 65,000-name petition was delivered to Downing Street.

The petition calls for testing of children just after they begin primary school to be scrapped.
